The same thousand readers costs anywhere from $0.23 to $383.41

That is the single most useful number here. Rates are set by what publishers think they can get, not by what the audience is worth, so the spread across a comparable thousand readers runs to more than a thousandfold. The median is $9.67. Anything materially above that needs a reason — a buying audience, a hard niche, proven response — and anything well below it is either a bargain or a warning.

Where this comes from

Rates published by the newsletters themselves on the open Paved marketplace, collected in August 2026 and checked against the live listing.

What has been removed

52 listings that had been delisted, renamed or returned a dead page. Only newsletters carrying at least one real published price are included.

How to read a rate

Entry rate is the cheapest published placement; top rate the dearest. Cost per 1,000 uses the entry rate against the stated audience.

What it is not

Not a quote and not a negotiation. Published rates are an opening position, and most publishers will move on volume, timing or a first test.

Take the whole thing as a spreadsheet

Every newsletter, every priced placement and every cost per thousand. Excel with the data split across three sheets, or plain CSV if you would rather load it somewhere else. We keep the list current and re-check rates as they move — categories beyond the ones here can be compiled on request.
